Log entry one: Cosplay... Blade Runner

A few days ago, my family, and I, went to a free book shop, near where we used to live; and while I was getting ready to go out, I saw a suitcase of clothing... So, I took it... And I opened it, and saw a suit; it was the proper colours of Sergei Dragunov's attire. So I borrowed my brother's white shirt, and I put on a red tie, though it has small black diomonds on it, which our uncle found, while moving things from the closet, into the attic; and I used all this, to do a more complete cosplay of Sergei Dragunov; it still misses the 'White Angel Of Death' symbols, but it's the closet I currently have to the actual attire, worn by Dragunov.

So I went out in it, dressed like Dragunov, I even used make-up for the scars; so I got some new images, outside (finally), of my more complete cosplay. I'll have some images posted on my Deviant Art gallery, and I'll be putting all of my cosplay pictures; incomplete, and altered as well, on my Sergei Dragunov webpage, when I make it: Which will be soon, as I have an almost complete cosplay now... Although I'm still going to get an actual military jacket as well.

I also have a few images, composed by my sister; Secret-X-Link, comparing Dragunov, and myself's resemblences, before I did a cosplay of him... But I'll have to wait to post them here, as I haven't got them on this computer - It's the family computer.

On another subject; my brother, my sister, and I, wanted to see the movie 'Blade Runner', after reading that Bryan Fury, of the Tekken series, was seemingly based on the film's villain; Roy Batty. I had wanted to see it before we knew this, but wasn't insistant on it, until after we read about Roy Batty. Our mother rented the film on monday for us; and we got to watch it wednesday evening.

The best parts of the movie, as I think so, were the scenes with Roy Batty, especially near the end, where he starts running around, howling like a wolf, and saying things like; "4, 5, how to stay alive!" and "6, 7, go to Hell, or go to Heaven!" It was really troubling, yet intriging, at the same time. I really liked how Roy Batty, kept 'pulling' himself to do something, when ever he seemed he was falling alseep, as he was fighting his death. And how he was kind of like a kid, laughing, while he watched Harrison Ford climb the side of the building to get away, after he broke through the window, asking "Where are you going?"

I think Rutger Hauer did an exceptionable perfomance as Roy Batty (He was why we wanted the movie.); acting realisticly, while Roy Batty was toying with Harrison's character. And during the final scene, when he saves Harrison ford, from falling, and just talks to him. The facial expessions were really good, Rutger Hauer was really good with expressions, and the personality of his character.

I can see how Bryan was inspired by Roy Batty, besides the resemblences, I mean; like how both Bryan, and Roy Batty go to receive help, so that they can find extension to their lifespans; and how they're both refered to as 'Replicants'.

I always really liked the idea of a replicant, or cyborg, having emotions, that are like people; such as, Roy Batty, or Android 16, (DragonBall); and realizing they are different, and not like others... I always wished, though it's absurd... That I was one of them... Strange isn't it?

  1. Ser~gei! You have to put up new cosplay pictures, okay? ^______^

I remember that day... didn't care for that day, but then again, I don't care for alot of days, do I? ...

We should create the emblems ourselves, since I think you told me that they're unique to your Tekken counterpart anyways, right? :)

Yep, those pictures I still have them. :D ...although, now we should compose new ones; as you actually have outfits resembling Sergei Dragunov. ^.^

Ohhh... I wish we could own Blade Runner for real... it's such a great movie; and I think you did an excellent review right there, about Roy. <3

Other than Roy, I only really liked Sebastian, and Pris...

I wish that I could do more Tekken cosplay (Bryan... Julia... or Jun) with you as Sergei or Kazuya, and Hwang as Jin, or Lei Wulong...

Anyways, I really like Rutger Hauer, although, I haven't seen many of his movies at all - but I was impressed with his official website, and what Lily has told me about him, when she, and her uncle met Rutger Hauer at the comic convention. ^______^

Hehe, well, some people online seem to think you're stiff (like Android 16 :P); but that's just because they don't know how sweet your "Kitten" side is. <(^.^)>

    <3 Your Ilya. ^.^
